Structure of the Farm

Structure of the Farm

Farm

To create your Farm, simply choose the location and give it a name. However, to be able to manage the Farm correctly you must organize it as follows:
  1. Fields: Georeferencing of different fields or land.
  2. Crops: Identification of the different crops in each Field. Each of the previous Fields may have one or more crops.
  3. Homogeneous areas: Groups of Crops with the same crops or varieties.

Irrigation system

For irrigated productions, irrigation sectors must be created. For dryland production, you can create an "Open Air" irrigation sector.
If your property has several irrigation systems, that is, several irrigation programmers, you can configure them in the same Farm. It is necessary that the names of the irrigation sectors are all different, even if they are from different Irrigation Systems. For example: Irrigation_System_1 has 2 Sectors. Irrigation_system_2 has 3 Sectors. You must create irrigation Sectors with the names Irrigation Sector 1.1, Irrigation Sector 1.2, Irrigation Sector 2.1, Irrigation Sector 2.2, Irrigation Sector 2.3.

The Irrigation Sectors do not have any limitations regarding the structure of the Fields and crops. They must be configured as accurately as possible in relation to what you actually have installed on your land. An accurate configuration of the Irrigation Sectors is crucial to take advantage of the recommendations generated by Wisecrop.
